This October 25th marks the day of another Municipal election. Hopefully this will also mark the day of substantial positive change on London city council.

I am running for council because, we need people on council that will LISTEN and be ACCOUNTABLE to the people of London. We need people that can WORK TOGETHER FOR POSITIVE CHANGE in London. We Need business minded people that will be RESPONSIBLE WITH YOUR TAX DOLLARS. People that remember who they work for, YOU! I believe I am just that person.

Over the past 10 years our taxes have gone up 45% mainly due to wasteful, irresponsible spending on the part of city council. Spending $100,000 to beautify a salt dome, 1.5 Million dollars on city council chambers are just a couple of examples, all while turning down an 80 million dollar Sun life project that would have brought thousands of jobs and an untold amount of tax dollars to London. With an unemployment rate of nearly 9% (and about to jump with the closure of the ford plant) and the economy in the state that it is decisions like this are just unacceptable.

Ward 2's current councilor Bill Armstrong's voting record has clearly shown that he is irresponsible with your tax dollars. He is anti-business, and anti-growth. Ward 2 deserves better representation and better value for you tax dollars.

Quoted from a June 2010 Nordex Research study on each councilor's voting record says "Armstrong is a leader on council in terms of his preferences for high taxes and high spending".

To quote the Argyle Community Association's Slogan "A VOICE NOT HEARD OR A VOTE NOT CAST IS AN AFFIRMATION TO CONTINUE WITH THE POLICIES OF THE PAST."

Sincerely
